The 36/600 Class is also a development class, with a maximum hull length of 36 inches and a sail area of 600 inches. The Class was defined in 1971 to overcome the proble of transporting a Marblehead in a normal car. Since then the class grew to about 1,500 boats in the US, according to the American Model Yachting Association.
